Community recycling centres
All Surrey community recycling centres (CRCs) re-opened on 1 August last year, but some are only accepting certain types of waste.
Residents should only use the CRCs if they absolutely need to as social distancing measures mean the number of people allowed on sites at any one time is limited. Please check for the latest information before you travel as current opening arrangements are subject to change. Please see individual site information for further details.
For full information on opening dates and times, and waste types accepted at each site, please check Surrey County Council’s website.
It is important to know if your garden waste is taken to a recycling centre by someone else they could be charged, as this is not a free service for commercial businesses, like paid gardeners.
Make sure you don’t take Japanese Knotweed to a recycling centre, as it can’t be accepted. This is an invasive plant and must be safely disposed of at an appropriately licensed landfill site. See the Government’s guidance for more details.
