Home composting
The best thing to do with garden and food waste is compost it at home. Grass cuttings, dried leaves, twigs and vegetable peelings can be put into a compost bin or heap and will produce a nutrient-rich, peat-free compost that can be used to help gardens grow. Meat, fish, dairy, bones and cooked food waste cannot be added to a normal compost bin or heap. However, they can be composted using a food waste digester.
We also run regular sales of standard compost bins and hot composters. Please keep checking the buy a compost bin section of our website or follow us on social media for details.
